Adamstown, located to the south of Lucan is a new town, which proposes more than 9,000 new homes, 72 acres of open space, playgrounds, schools and a leisure centre. To date, about 1,600 homes have been built, with a further 2,000 residential dwellings expected to be completed between now and 2021.

The area, which will be home to more than 20,000 people includes a secondary school and two primary schools, all of which are operational. Adamstown consists of a well-designed network of streets and neigbourhoods, with a focus on the delivery of sustainable living. The streets are carefully landscaped and together with the complementary green spaces, serve to create a friendly family atmosphere.
