Lucan is a great location for shopping and has an array of excellent boutiques and eateries on its doorstep. With a bustling village atmosphere, Lucan is home to retail stores, cafes, pubs, hairdressers and beauty salons. The area also plays host to Lucan Shopping Centre, which offers a range of retail services, including restaurants, medical services, cafes, beauty salons, as well as having Dunnes Stores and SuperValu supermarkets.

Ballyowen Castle Shopping Centre offers convenience at a more local level, serving the neighbourhoods toward Griffeen, whilst the Palmerstown area is served by SuperValu and Aldi supermarkets.

Lucan and Palmerstown have the added advantage of being located close to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, which is one of Ireland’s best known leisure and shopping destinations, with a range of retailers and entertainment services, including Primark/Penneys, Marks and Spencer, Vue Cinema, B&Q, Woodies DIY and Halfords.
