The Lucan and Palmerstown neighbourhood is home to large variety of sporting and recreational amenities, including public parks, water-based activities on the River Liffey, sports clubs and playing fields.

Griffeen Valley Park is a fantastic local amenity, with over 80 hectares of public parkland offering plenty of recreational space to relax and unwind in. The park will also soon benefit from a new swimming pool, which is due to open in 2019.

Lucan and Palmerstown also play host to a number of sporting clubs offering a range of activities from kayaking, athletics, cricket and football.
