With a population of approximately 70,000 people and growing, Tallaght is recognised at a national and regional level as a location for continued growth and investment. Tallaght's status as a dynamic town for living, business, employment, shopping and transport continues to go from strength to strength, as evidenced by the recent arrival of Amazon, Lidl Headquarters and Harvey Norman's flagship store to the area.

In looking to the future, the Tallaght Town Centre Local Area Plan is under review in 2018 and will provide a clear framework for further development and investment.

New homes are currently being built in the budding new suburb of Kiltipper on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains. Located approximately 1.5 kilometres from Tallaght Town Centre, with its own local shopping centre and situated adjacent to the picturesque Bohernabreena Valley and Kiltipper Park, this new suburb offers family-friendly living in a beautiful setting, with a host of public amenities.
